National Working Daughters Day – How Life Settlements Can Help Caregiver Daughters

November 17 is National Working Daughters Day, a day when we honor the millions of daughters who provide unpaid care to aging and/or ill family members. It is also an opportunity to discuss how seniors can use life settlements to plan and pay for healthcare and long-term care expenses in retirement, thereby easing the burden on their daughters.

• 53 million US adults are caregivers (up from 44 million in 2015)
• 67% of primary caregivers are women
• 42% of women caregivers are not employed elsewhere while providing care
• Women lose an average of $324,000 in lifetime compensation due to caregiving
