November 17 is National Working Daughters Day, a day when we honor the millions of daughters who provide unpaid care to aging and/or ill family members. It is also an opportunity to discuss how seniors can use life settlements to plan and pay for healthcare and long-term care expenses in retirement, thereby easing the burden on their daughters.
While we made this video for National Caregivers Day (February 21, 2020), we wanted to share it again today. It speaks to the important role daughters have in caregiving and the impact it can have on them, from wage loss to potentially requiring caregiving in retirement themselves.
Watch below as Anne Long, Lighthouse Life’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, discusses the caregiving crisis in America, its impact on daughters, and how life settlements can help both caregivers and care recipients.
